Over the Fantail

The point of all this.

I hope to get people, from the area around Smethport Pa. interested in R/C Boating & Sailing. This could be a lot of fun as the 4.5 acre Hamlin Lake is right in town and is easily accessible groups or individuals to sail, meet,& picnic.

I hope that this link can help anyone that doesn't know the area or would like to check it out. Here are some shots of Hamlin Lake. There the feed waters seem to come from two directions in the over headview above, is actually an large island.

Check out the party in June http://www.smethporthistory.org/

Ship's Log

I first Started sailing a(pondboat) sloop of my own design several years ago in the Azores. A friend built it for me (For a price, of course!) Thanks Mike!
Later she burned in drydock and rose from the ashes as the "Phionix" About 3ft. long & 30in. high. Because of this event I was able to acquire a kit R/C "The Fairwinds" and really began to enjoy the "time away"
Now I'm building a 6ft. high cat to be christened "The Answer" hopfully in the spring 2001
